Providing Individualized Medical Massage and Lymphatic Drainage in Chattanooga, TN

Welcome to Scenic City Medical Massage! We are a specialized massage practice dedicated to providing targeted, therapeutic care for individuals dealing with chronic pain, surgery recovery, injuries, and specific medical conditions. Owned and operated by a licensed and certified therapist, Scenic City Medical Massage combines advanced training in medical massage and manual lymphatic drainage to create personalized treatment plans based on thorough assessments. Whether addressing pain and muscle tension, migraines, post-surgical recovery, swelling, or the need for ongoing lymphatic support, each session is tailored to your needs to reduce discomfort, support healing, and improve function.

Medical massage does not have to mean painful or overly aggressive pressure. Deep tissue massage is often associated with using a lot of pressure, but effective deep work is not simply about using more force. It is about knowing where to apply pressure, how much pressure the tissue can tolerate, and when to adjust the technique. Sessions are often focused on specific muscles or areas that need attention, with techniques adapted throughout the session based on how your body responds. Some areas may be uncomfortable or leave you a little sore afterward, but the goal is therapeutic work that is effective without causing unnecessary pain.

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is another part of the individualized care offered at Scenic City Medical Massage. Depending on your needs and what is found during your assessment, lymphatic work may be provided as a stand-alone session or incorporated into a medical massage treatment. Using the Vodder technique, MLD uses gentle, rhythmic techniques to encourage lymphatic flow and support normal fluid movement.

All treatment is tailored to what is going on in your body, based on your individual needs and assessment findings. We are committed to providing excellent care and continually expanding our knowledge through ongoing education and developments in the field.
